Welcome to the website of Hope Lutheran Church in North Minneapolis!

Hope Lutheran is a vibrant, friendly church community in North Minneapolis.

Please take a moment to read what we believe at Hope Church. We invite you to come and visit one of our Sunday worship services to find the hope of salvation and the truth of Jesus Christ in your own life.

Our Mission

To present the good news of salvation through Jesus Christ to those who do not know him, assist believers to grow up in Jesus as His disciples, and equip them to use their spiritual gifts and talents for the expansion of the kingdom of God.

Mark 12:30-31: 'And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.'  The second is this: 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.' There is no other commandment greater than these.

 Our Vision

Over a period of the next five years (2008-2013), Hope will reach the neighbors one mile in each direction from the church leading them to Jesus Christ and incorporating them into the church.

Love is our aim (Romans 12:9-21)
Truth is our standard. (John 8:32)
Prayer is our priority. (Ephesians 6:18)
The Bible is our authority. (2 Timothy 3:16-17)
Right relationships are our foundation. (Acts 2:42-47)
Evangelism is our way of life. (Luke 15:7)
Excellence in ministry is our goal. (Malachi 1:6a)
Spiritual gifts are our responsibility. (Ephesians 4:12-13)
Reconciliation is our passion. (Ephesians 2:14)
Joyful worship is our desire. (Psalm 100:1)
