Missions at Hope Lutheran—helping fulfill the great commission

At Hope Lutheran, we understand the great commission given by Jesus Christ in Matthew 28 as the main goal of all individual Christians and churches. As a church we exist to spread the good news of Jesus Christ crucified, died, and buried. After three days He rose again and new rules in heaven, and will also rule the earth when He returns. We will proclaim this message and make disciples of Christ until our King returns again.

Locally we fulfill the great commission through door-to-door evangelism, outreach centered events like community picnics, children’s outreach in parks, and other interpersonal events that allow us to share the gospel. Nationally we fulfill the great commission by supporting home mission churches, as well as sending individuals and teams of people throughout America. Internationally we send teams of people to help in missionary efforts as well as support missions in prayer and financially.

In addition to going out and doing as Christ taught, we also seek to make our congregation aware of the needs of Christians around the world so that individually we take ownership of world mission needs.
